This is an earworm that has plagued my household for months now.
A complaint about the patriarchy? Sure is a dog eat dog world out there. It's raining when we're about to go outside? Sure is raining cats and dog eat dog world out there! Tough day at the office? Yeah, they had me working like a dog eat dog world.
It's gotten so ubiquitous, that we've resorted to the acronym DEDW in texts - and when doodling in a meeting, I will absentmindedly write DEDW in notebooks. I've more than once had to explain the acronym to a coworker.
I hope she is not mad I shared this - or I'd really be in the dog eat dog world house tonight!
